Would purchase for 3 euros |
Well, I did not see a photo done by Beste that was tagged with a price less than 1.000 EUR when I went to his exhibition in Berlin few years ago... Norway is the klondike of Black Metal, obviously. _________________ Horde Absurd: www.hordeabsurd.com

This is good news if the stuff eventually gets a vinyl reissue I like Ildjarn but not enough to pay the ridiculous prices the stuff sells for. I bought Strength and Anger from SOM 2nd hand a few years ago on vinyl but ended up sending it back because it was in terrible condition. |

Dead serious - never heard one note of ILDJARN.
Worth the hype?
Where do I start?
Compare them to a band or two?
I have heard the name "ILDJARN" for at least 5 years, never had the need to seek them out. _________________ Too Old, Too Cold!

Anyway, just go listen on YouTube. Type "Ildjarn" and listen to whatever comes up. It's not like you need a camel covered in mystical golden elf shit to deliver it to you on 8-track. |

Cool. I need some of these. I'm into purchasing physical goods in exchange for my hard earned currency. |

The first track I found .... very fucking good!

Refreshing that they had their own sound/style.
Looked the band up on Ebay - glad their shit is getting re-issued because the cd and lp prices are high as hell. _________________ Too Old, Too Cold!

I'd be a little bit careful, because, other than Svart Dag, Ildjarn's material is quite different to that song. |

It's different to the link in that the aggression and hatred is ramped up to 10 along with the distortion and lo-fi recording. To me the two similar tracks from the Ildjarn/ Nidhogg split (one of them being that linked) have have more in tune with Sort Vokter. Ildjarn to me is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScBOYbJUUNA _________________

I'm not sure what to think about this. As a longtime Ildjarn worshipper, its good to know that these become available once more but digital pre-release is just fucking disturbing. Season of Mist is a huge turn-off too. Probably not gonna get these, i own all the Ildjarn i need either as cd, tape, vinyl or stolen bits.
I'm more interested how these are related to Vidar? Is he back from isolation and just needs quick money or was all the talk from interviews total bullshit? |

Fucking no way. It sounds like complete shit to me, never understood what everyone else saw in them/him. Granted, all I had was that Nidhogg split EP. Didn't even know what to play it at, 45 or 33, sounded like it could have worked on either. That's how bad it is. |

It's pretty easy to say that extremely raw and minimalistic black metal like Ildjarn is not for everyone.
I like all the Ildjarn material. Both metal and ambient. _________________ OUT OF THE DUNGEON label website and distrolist:

Fair point. Though to me Ildjarn is taking raw and minimalist to another level altogether |
