Modern triggered dm crap that doesn't even sound like real Deicide. Insinerate might not be the most inspired album they did but at least it sounds like Deicide, check the opening groovy riff + catchy refrain:

this is obviously much more in the vein of Deicide/Once Upon The Cross than any post-Scars album _________________ Permabanned |

I use to own both albums on cd years ago and gave both of them a fair chance. I never liked anything about either of them |

Listening to bits of all those songs (including the Incinerate one) just reminds me how much I hate the sound of Benton's high pitched vocals, especially when double tracked. _________________

Also weren't both of these albums only recorded because they wanted to get out of their contract with Roadrunner? |

Nope, only In Torment was allegedly put out with that purpose and it indeed has a certain "rushed" feel to it, if not musically at least visually -poor artwork as someone else pointed out. Insinerate was actually published after a 4-year hiatus following the release of SotL which had sold pretty well and I can't remember Benton ever stating anything like that in interviews. _________________ Permabanned |

Santolla's leadwork on Stench smashes anything that was released on those two shit albums. Their newest album was fucking awful though, Benton sounded like that homosexual from Job for a cowboy. _________________

Is this the soundtrack of The Emoji Movie? Seems fitting as both are cancer incarnate. |

I hope you're trolling here. That horrible Iced Earth-like solo'ing of his is what drove the last nail into Deicide's coffin. _________________ Permabanned |

Insineratehymn is tolerable every now and again, even if it is sophomoric even by Deicide's standards. |

It's a truly killer riff totally in the old Deicide vein. I don't see how people who enjoy classic Deicide can dislike a song like that or Remnant of a Hopeless Path, let alone claim that Stench is a better album. _________________ Permabanned |

Yeah, it wasn't the fact the band had been creatively bankrupt since Serpents of the light. Say what you want about his drunkeness but the guy had more ideas regarding the riff/guitar department than anything the Hoffman brothers had for six years sucking in the band. Couple that with the fact Benton is a fucking moron and its a mixture for failure. _________________
