I made a purchase for the 1st time on Discogs, the seller answered as fast as a shark providing me the total amount and the info i needed to pay via bank transfer, after i made the payment i sent him a message to ask him if he could tell me when he ll send the record. Since then (1week & a half) no reply , the guy is a record shop owner in Austria, i checked also the records list and the one i paid for isnt listed anymore.
Im not on a hurry but i was wondering if its a common practice there, i mean a single mail like " i had the money i ll sent the lp soon" would been enough ... and it doesnt take much time to write .

I have the feeling i'll never see my purchase Confused

It's fairly common for sellers forget to update the status of the record from my experience - I've only had one poor experience on discogs out of many, many purchases in the last year or two, and even then I eventually got my record, it only took a paypal claim....

It's also common for buyers to not leave feedback, and as a general rule, I don't leave the buyer feedback until they leave it for me to cover mine butt....

What i found weird is that he first answered at the speed of the light and now silence ... Wait & see.

meybe he sells a lot and forgets regularly to update the process from "invoice sent" to "payment received". just be patient and wait.

had to wait for two LPs from canada for about 10-11 weeks and the seller replied to answers always just after 14 days or so. but in the end, everything went fine.

Fif, a arrive souvent. Si le gars 98% de taux de satisfaction, je ne me ferais pas trop de soucis?

I wish it was mandatory for buyers AND sellers to leave feedback after purchases/sales. It'd oblige people to not behave like pricks during transactions and come on, it takes two seconds and makes everyone happy (unless you're a dick, in which case you deserve to be called one.)

I think a good third of the people I ever dealed with on Discogs never left me any feedback Confused

Same here, at least a third. I rarely even get a message saying they received the LP.
