It's actually Magus and his bitch. As for myself, I like the MCD, SOTBA and ATS the best. Never understood the hype about VS, to me it sounded like a copy of SOTBA.
EDIT: The reason Blackmoon was angry at Absu was due to their first album. On that one they were using BM imagery, while their music at the time was more death/grind stuff. Blackmoon felt that bands playing that type of music shouldn't be using BM imagery.
Weltering, Magus isn't even on SOTBA.
EDIT 2: Blackmoon did apologize for his comments later on saying Absu weren't that bad a band anymore (probably after hearing their 2nd or 3rd album). |

When I was younger and just getting into extreme metal I quite liked the fast bands like Dark funeral, Panzer division era Marduk etc.
So I'll give them some points for nostalgic reasons, but I haven't heard anything they released in the last 10 years though. Listening back to their old albums just shows how one-dimensional their music is. |

| Vobiscum Satanas is a decent album I think. Never cared musch for the first album and Ep. Saw them live in '98 and they put on a good show back then. Before the GWAR-like costumes were introduced... |

I only like the debut mini CD, I lost interest very fast after they released the 1st album, which was boring as fuck for me.
There's always been way better bands than them in my opinion.

| Echoing the sentiment of others, Secrets of the Black Arts is a good album. I don't listen to it often, but that was some of the first black metal I ever heard. It's really shallow, though. |

I practically like all Dark Funeral releases, it was some of the first black metal I listened too, but the lyrics are terrible.
