Absolutely. Probably one of my favourite Lizzy releases! |
Same here! |
That album would be 100% perfect without "Bad Habbits" (specifically the chorus).
Any European people check out "The Boys Are Back in Town" book by Scott Gorham yet ? I think it is released over there already but not in North American until May.
"The Rocker" is a mandatory read for anyone into Lizzy. It will give you an even greater perspective on all your favorite songs . _________________

Yeah, I feel the same way about "Bad Habits". It's a bit of a filler track and weak link. "Heart Attack" also has a bit of a dated 80's feel, but in the best possible way and is one of my favorite tracks on that album. _________________ ANTITHEIST DISSEMINATIONS |

Heart Attack is the only way to end that album. It's definitely got that 80s sound but it's so fucking good. |

I love Hear Attack, specifically that wonderful harmony right before the verse kicks in. _________________

Lizzy are gods.
Though this new line-up Lizzies band, shouldn't put this name on any new album - they can be a live tribute band if they want to, but real TL died with Lynnott.... |

Thankfully, they announced a month or so ago that they will not be releasing any new material under the name Thin Lizzy. _________________

I remembered this hymn covered in one Brocas Helm gig, many years ago.I was going insane and was feeling the absolute metallic ''nirvana'' in heaven.
There's no other feeling like this,Hell!
I can't imagine how a good performance of this song by the original Thin Lizzy back in the 70s could be.... |

Talking of great Lizzy covers I got to see Argus twice in two nights in September there doing absolutely killer cover versions of "Johnny" and "Roísín Dubh." _________________ http://waronallfronts.bandcamp.com/

The Rocker is focused on Lynott, but there is plenty of info about the band and tours/feuds etc. I believe the Scott Gorham book is more about the band, though. _________________

The Johnny cover is on their new EP and it is pretty awesome. _________________ "Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back." |

Just read this and bought the book on amazon together with Nick Kent's Dark Stuff for 0.02 pounds, used anyway. _________________ http://knightinsatansservice.bigcartel.com/ |

When Argus played in Dublin in September they went to visit Phil's grave in Sutton, just outside the city and Phil's mother was there tending to the grave. She brought them to her house, which is close by, made them dinner and let them tinker with some of Phil's instruments and personal effects. She's renowned for being very receptive to Lizzy fans and opening up her home to them. |
