oh man all ngozi stuff is nutso
i was listening to 'babe ruth - first base' last night and was surprised at how much of an "occult rock" (for extreme lack of better term) vibe it had. especially this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7ZpmWIoepY
edit: that version of the song is not the album version which isnt on youtube. album version has a more full and a bit heavier arrangement. _________________ format your doormat |

@ doomedplanet:
There is some controversy surrounding the actual release date of that German Oak LP, isn't there? |

Yeah great stuff, I only have the 3 reissued albums. Now & Again is doing some sort of anthology next year, no idea what it will contain as there seems to be quite a few albums beyond the 3 I know. one titled 'heavy metal'.

Only controversy I know of is I have not been able to determine if there was an original pressing in the 70's. All known copies seem to be from the 90's on, boots/reissues, whatever. So at this point my opinion is it was unreleased back in the day. No way to confirm otherwise.

That Ngozi Family shit is so expensive it defies description. I see the CD around for $40+ new and I saw the LP for $65.99 in a store a couple weeks ago.....
Now WITCH, from Zambia, that's a fucking killer album
Fucking BLO too, but less consistent. The Witch album fucking rules. The other Witch with J. Mascis sucks.... _________________ http://www.dod-ecaphony.bandcamp.com
