You can try rebooting in safe mode (I think you just tap F8 when the computer starts up).

If it lets you do that you could maybe remove the questionable software and see if that helps.

He tried to go to safe mode either but he mentioned that it didn't worked. However, his post stating that was deleted by him for some reason.

Damn, this bites. Any luck finding the Windows XP CD and tried to re-install Windows over your old Windows? Let me know how it turns out.

We had money allocated for a computer. It was more than we wanted to spend but it'll last a while.

I'm finding the iMac to be far better than my old shitty PC. I wasn't a believer until I really started using it.

Did you end up getting the stuff off of the computer you were after?

Some of the guys here mentioned the easier way to get it off... specially if your just going to use another computer now...

If your really in need to get that info off... get a mate that is computer savvy (unless you know what to do.. it's pretty basic) to take out your hard drive from the computer... hook it up to a hard drive caddy.. then simply plug it into your computer via a USB port. It should come up on your screen as new hard ware or give you the option to choose how you want to open it and then you can browse the hard drive as if it was another drive or folder on your computer...

Yeah... I think that isn't very expensive either.

At the moment I have made a new partition with Linux because my Vi$ta is fucked by some virus... I will reinstall the Windows at one point though as I need it for some programs, but now I'm lazy about it as I'm very happy with the Linux.
