Exactly! They're grindcore for people who have no idea what grind is. I've seen them, heard them a bunch, etc... just cannot get into it. It's bland, trite...
And the name is dumb, especially now that they are trying to come across as serious. |
I have never really thought of them as a grind band to be honest. All this talk about them being 'false grind' or whatever...it's pretty obvious they are doing something totally different to Scum or FETO, so you may as well call Burzum false grind as well...The new album isn't all that interesting but Prowler and Terrifyer are pretty intense.
Also, hails to the dude who mentioned Despise You, I'm spinning West Side Horizons as we speak. |

Haha Nailed Down are from my city, somehow I missed seeing them live but their legacy hangs heavily over the local hardcore scene. Very confusing band. Heist were better though!

Nailed Down had their moments, especially when they were playing in the Japcore & powerviolence veins. Heist were great too, I only have 1 of the EPs though, still need the other.

Some of the Nailed Down stuff is totally ripping!! Great band!!! I wish the 8" flexi, wasn't a flexi but a real record. I never actually picked up Perth Wolfpack but I hear it's their best stuff. The Destroy Deceitful Fellows 7" is killer.
