I haven't listened to The Kill in years, will check this out. Damn I wish No Escape Records was still around.

Filthy Christians, anyone remember them? Probably the closest I ever got to liking Grindcore. |

I find this assesment to be hysterical considering the large amount of grind influence in modern black/death metal. |
I have to admit to not really looking into it as a genre, but hoping this thread can open my eyes a bit. Aside from the obvious, any other which are worth a look from the early days? Also somewhat surprised to have not seen Unholy Grave mentioned anywhere. |

Brings back great memories of Neil being chased down Brunswick Street by smelly crusties (who hated this band). Also remember seeing Neil nearly cut himself too deep on stage at the Punters' Club. Haha. |
Do you have any more stories? Loved this band.
No one mentioned Righteous Pigs, though not strictly grind, they have a lot of the same appeal and a fucking classic

Seconded for the Assück and Discordance Axis material, but that BT album is really awful. Only Extreme Conditions... is real! _________________ http://morsomnibvs.blogspot.mx/ |
