Absolutely. This story of more or less censored version smells like ass and spend a lot of money more just for a vinyl coloured version and a crappy poster make my day!

My favourite Reverend Bizarre release is the split LP with Orodruin, an absolute dark and effective track! The best effort of Orodruin too, but this is off-topic.

Exactly.

That single got me into RevBiz. The single edit is much better anyways than the album version.

Still looking for some of the older split vinyls and demos. Pity some of them are so hard to find.

I can't listen to them right now but looking at their influences they look like they could be pretty awesome.

Well, i like RB and EW... though i dont own any EW releases to be honest... and RB is great band, but i think that them released too much "unreleased stuff lately", though curious to check it out... and this diehard i think was overpriced etc etc... though idea with cover itself is nice

Rev. Biz. does some interesting covers ... their version of that Burzum song is CRUSHING, destroys the original (but then again how hard is that? haha) ... worth it alone to hear the Beherit cover. Top notch band .. easily my favourite doom out there.

The Beherit cover by RB is immense....totally crushing....on a par with the original I'd go as far to say.

essential listening IMHO :

Reverend Bizarre "official demos re issue on cd by Psychedelic Records" + "Harbinger of Metal CD" + "In The Rectory of Bizarre Reverend CD"

Electric Wizard " S/tTCD " + "Come My Fanatics CD" + " Chrononaut 10" EP "
