Black Vomit Records Presents:

B.V 020 Absurd (Swe) – Discography ’91-’92 CD
For first time in the history the full discography of this obscure Swedish death metal band. This release contains the 7’’ EP Drained Of Body Chemicals (recorded at the infamous Sunlight Studios by Tomas Skoberg back in ’91) and released by the cult U.S label Seraphic Decay as well as an unreleased gig in Idebrunnen in ’92(7 songs), which consists of 3 unreleased songs, supposed to be included on the next Absurd release as well as the 3 songs of the EP and a Pungent Stench cover recorded live. All the songs have been re-mastered for the best possible result and new artwork, representative of the album’s spirit. All in all 10 tracks of Swedish death metal history of the early 90’s when death metal was making its first steps in Sweden and later progressed to the infamous Swedish sound. This release also includes a lengthy interview of the band to Nicola Constantini (featured on his book The Return Swedish Death Metal) as well as a collage of rare and unpublished bands photos. Recommended for fans of Nihilist/Entombed, Carnage/Dismember, Grave, Treblinka, Crematory, Grotesque, Excruciate etc.

Interesting - never heard that EP but given that it was from the prime era for Sunlight I'll check it out for sure. Any plans by BV or anyone else to do a CD version?

Yeah,it will be released in CD too,but later on. Actually the CD version will come out after the LP's are sold out.Just like the Necro Schizma case.

Thanks for the info! I'm checking out the tracks on YouTube right now and this definitely works for me. Count me in for a CD when they come out.

If any talented graphic designer posts/reads here, please get in touch via email: blackvomitrecords@yahoo.com

I am working with graphic designers who mostly focus on black metal and antichristian thematology, which is not the case for this release.

Anyone interested who can contribute with genuine artwork can get in touch for more info.

@passetiermes -> On which language is the interview? I have only read one interview of Absurd on the Encyclopedia of Swedish Death metal. If its in english maybe i will add it on the other side of the innersleeve or make a special fanzine if i gather enough interviews (just like in the Rotting Christ re-issue)

For those not familiar with Absurd (they only releases a 7inch in '91 on Seraphic Decay) they are one of the most obscure and chaotic death metal bands from Sweden, far more obscure than the average Sweden death metal bands with the typical punk elements. I would say Absurd are the swedish answer to finnish Abhorrence.

Some graphic designers have already contacted me. More info will be revealed soon

BUMP!

Because i have left all my personal collection of records in Greece, does anyone here has a physical copy of the 7'' they released on Seraphic Decay?

I need a scan of this.

The artwork for the LP is almost ready. I will reveal it soon.
