I bought that when I was in Mexico City withi Sabbat. It looks good and all but the vocals are no good.
The best record I got on that trip was Ramses "apocalypis" LP. It sounds like a Mexican version of Judas Priest recorded on a shitty 8th track. _________________ Contact: nwnprod@gmail.com

I would suggest KHAFRA debut album, for early proto-speed thrash from Mexico. Also the demos and maybe the first MLP from SIX BEER are good choices. RAMSES sounded to me like wanting to be Helloween. And most vocalist in those eary mexican bands range from very bad to decent. I would avoid INQUISIDOR albums after the debut, boring speed thrash. Quite a shame as they had a very good guitar player and drummer. _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

Oh, you were refering to that album. Yeah, maybe JP. I was thinking on "Guerreros del metal". _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

I got their other albums as well. I only like Apocalypsis or whatever it's called. That one is pure 70's Judas Priest worship with the shittiest production and recording quality. I love it. _________________ Contact: nwnprod@gmail.com

Which reminds me...did you know about the band APOCALIPSIS? They kinda fit that description of badly produced trad heavy metal, but with style...maybe same for GEHENNA (the mexican one)...both are being reissued on CD with a bit of mastering work...just to taste how it would be if they had a better sound back then...although, yeah, nothing beats those awful primitive productions! _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |
