|
|
Are there any RELIABLE informations regarding which matrix code(s) is/are correct ?! My copy looks and sound PERFECT and the matrix code is "DOOM" (pretty mysterious right ?). Obviously I didn't buy it in 1994 from Embassy. So if some old fucks here can light my path... |

Thanks for the "old fucks". Try "DURECO TE01" as matrix-# and you'll live safer. _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:

Strange. The matrix # of the copy I got quite some years ago writes "GORGOROTH". This is the first time I looked at it |

Yes, that's the correct matrix #. But, just buy any version...any official version of course. The Embassy version is a bootleg anyway _________________ Psicoterror'zine website,

Was that only on the Wild Rags version? I bought mine in 94/5 from a Finnish record store and it was the one track version. I always assumed that the problem was in all copies of the first pressing? |

The Embassy version wasn't authorized by the band to begin with. _________________ Psicoterror'zine website,

Didn't know that... sounds weird, so they waited 1996 to have their album published by Malicious Rex.
I need an official statement by Meyhna'ch. |

Richard C went to a studio to make a back up copy of the master DAT. The transfer copy did not record the track index's of the master hence the single track.
For DAT machines, its best to manually put the ID numbers at the beginning of each track. DAT machines in "AUTO ID MODE" may put unwanted track IDs in a quiet section of a song.
And the Embassy version is official. |

Yeah, there's plenty of interviews from the time, where they mentioned having a deal with Embassy, who would release the debut album.
It was only later, after the album had been released, when they started complaining about the mistakes, lack of promotion & money. |

This.
Gorgoroth even promoted this album with flyers, interviews, and wasn't there a 2 track tape promo of this album too they have distributed themselves? _________________ Horde Absurd: www.hordeabsurd.com

Exactly. I have that promo and it says that Quote: | These two promotrack are taken from our forthcoming LP/CD on Embassy, A div. of Tragic Empire. For info, wholesale prices etc. write ... | and then comes the address of the label. Why would they promote something that they consider unofficial? |
