Those aren't bongos, they are djembes (i.e. African bush drums):
These are bongos:

Fair play. Interesting to see whether they'll be used in the album or they're just on the front cover of the LP. Assuming that the image is the album cover. Kind of reminds of a vanitas to an extent. |

Tom of Garazel wrote me that it's not an actual cover but just a flyer with a picture taken during the recording session. He didn't hear the material yet so he couldn't tell anything about the sound. But judging by the instruments used, well, maybe we can expect some kind of shamanistic ambient with ritual drums? Could be interesting. _________________ A good hippie is a dead hippie |

Would be fucking killer. That last EP from them was really breath-taking. Haxan isn't bad, but not exceptionnal. Really curious to hear this new full-length. |

Of course it's not an actual cover. Who would thought that band such as CdG could use such generic image?
And I'm looking forward to this. CdG can do no wrong, one of the rare bands that is capable of evoking the truly evil medieval witchcraft atmosphere. And your mention of "shamanistic ambient" sounds cool. I'm a sucker for anything "shamanistic". Bring on the djembes, bones and demented herbs! |

That wouldn't be surprising. The split with Goat Tyrant already has some long ritual drum interlude parts.
I'm glad that picture isn't the cover, looks like a total ripoff of the covers of Secret Sudaria and Triune Impurity Rites. And the first Father Befouled release. And soooooooo many other covers. |
