I've got a real expensive set up, but if I was looking for a budget table I'd check out:

what's your budget for a receiver? make sure it has a phono input, lots of new ones don't. |

Thanks for the link! I do have a stand alone phono preamp that I currently am using. I'd like to spend $300ish for the receiver. The home theater type receivers with 5.1 have all gotten so cheap, like I said I am really happy with my Onkyo for the price, but I do want a 2 channel receiver for LPs. Are there any older receivers which were proven players that can commonly be picked up used? I see 2 channel receivers selling used locally all the time for $20-50. My dad has of course owned many receivers since the 70's and he claims the new 5.1 units are the best, he uses a Denon amp now. |
