Duh, forgot about that news blurb from last year.
The pic must have been from a US show recently. Prob was the better move for James, since even though they'll be playing several shows together in the summer, the time slots and massive amount of people will prevent them from hanging out/checking out their set, etc. _________________ Speeding Through Hell!

Not directed at you taintedone but what do most people mean by the word "overrated"? To me it seems if a band gets a 'small' following people start saying that it is overrated. Ghost has one demo out, a 7" EP and an LP. They seem to be doing ok for a band with not so many releases under their belt. The music is ok, slightly above average but better than what most people listen to today (Dimmu Borgir sells thousands of records with each release for example). People/idiots choose to pay hundreds of dollars for the 7" EP on eBay and suddenly the band becomes overrated. I would consider Justin Bieber to be overrated not a band like Ghost. If it wasn't for the internet then most people would probably never heard of the band. |

Yes you're absolutely right. Ghost are doing just ok, signed on Rise Above and Metal Blade and touring with Enslaved, Trivium and Mastodon.
Although both are shit, the difference between Dimmu Borgir and Ghost is that the former actually released some decent stuff in the past and have been around for almost twenty years whereas the latter exploded pretty much overnight. _________________ http://www.necrosadist.net/

Is it the band's fault though? Hammerfall was bashed for the same reason when their debut came out. And I do like their debut LP, the rest is what I would consider "overrated" in a sense that all the follow up albums sound the same - recycled crap. Ghost just started. After 3 or 4 albums the band can be judged more precisely. Speedwolf seems to have a following as well.... |

For fuck's sake, is this Ghost bullshit still going on? We get it, some of you don't like them. For a band that many of you supposedly dislike, you sure do enjoy talking about them a ton.
I don't burst into every Repugnant topic stating "I really wish he'd focus on another Ghost album instead...", but the reverse seems to happen in EVERY Ghost conversation. We understand that some of you think you're "cult as fuck" and can't let your image be sullied by poppy music, but enough already.

Didn't want to start another Ghost thread, but for anyone interested they are headlining the 'Jagermeister Music Tour' in the UK in March. http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/ghost-gojira-the-defiled-for-jagermeister-music-tour-2013-and-tickets-are-only-a-fiver/
Dates:
Monday 18th March – Sheffield O2 Academy
Tuesday 19th March – Glasgow O2 Academy
Wednesday 20th March – Bristol O2 Academy
Friday 22nd March – Bournemouth O2 Academy
Saturday 23rd March – Birmingham O2 Academy
Sunday 24th March – Brixton O2 Academy
Am thinking about getting some tickets when they go on sale tomorrow as they are only £5. Anyone seen them live? Are they worth it? |

If you like the band, you'll thank yourself for going to see them. A most excellent liveband in my opinion. _________________ http://www.UnbornProductions.com

Repugnant are just as mediocre as Ghost. _________________

I like Ghost more than Repugnant.
Ghost LIVE UP TO THE HYPE.
Repugnant I like and all, but they were/are a standard Swedish DM band. _________________ We Are Satan's Generation And We Don't Give A Fuck! |
