Agreed, I hate it when bands (like Portal and Coffins have done) try to make digipacks that are like gatefold vinyl, which means its essentially an oversized gatefold slipcase that doesn't fit into my CD rack... _________________ Wants/Trades: http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=275935#275935

I've got a Machine Head hipflask that I got given as a promo thing when I did interviews for a street press magazine - it's quite useful and works fine but it's just a shame there is a bloody Machine Head logo etched onto it _________________

i can't believe they actually sell those. it's beyond cheesy but i suppose that's part of its charm. _________________

I believe Nuclear blast was selling a different Mortician barbecue apron some ten years back. A white one with bloodsplatters?
Khanate also had a limited hipflask. And Motorhead should have one? I know there's Motorhead wine and wine glasses... |

Looks just like some chick has made these out of L or XL tshirts. A lady friend of mine does that sort of stuff, mostly just cuts the back of all her shirts into strips and then ties them so they fit her like a corset. Looks awesome.
Anyway, Mourning Beloveth cigarette skins
They had a tshirt (I think to take the piss out of The Haunted, maybe not though) that said MOURNING BELOVETH MADE ME DOOM IT, and on the otherside of the pack of skins it reads MOURNING BELOVETH MADE ME SMOKE IT. It's dumb but I know some of the band members and it's hardly surprising. They're probably the only Death/Doom band with a sense of humour. _________________ http://waronallfronts.blogspot.com/ |

More of a format issue instead of a retarded merch issue, but why the hell have some labels started using these?
They don't add anything to the CD layout, the booklet is harder to remove, and if I break one, I have a harder time finding a replacement. Digipaks are shitty enough, but there's no need to have an alternative jewel box out there, especially when there are no benefits at all to using it.
I fucking hate these things. |
