I saw that there was a thread dedicated to BLASPHEMY clones and Blasphemy isn't really my cup of tea, so I decided to open a thread about clones of a band that's much closer to my heart....
So what do you think about the German WARHAMMER, the Brazilian HELLHAMMER or even the Israeli TANGORODRIM?
As for me, I don't get tired of listening to these bands, almost as well as to Hellhammer itself. I like Apokalyptic Raids' own touch and Warhammer's lack of own touch, as well as Tangorodrim's Russian alcohol-fueled madness... What about you people?
If there are more good Hellhammer-worship bands that you kinow about - please give some info about them.

Apocalyptic Raids from Brazil, no comment. 2nd CD is their absolute best.

Cianide - Death Doom And Destruction took it quiet a lot in the Hellhammer/Nihilist direction.

Crude Society System - their 7" from 1984 was a pure Apocalyptic Raids riffs influenced release of Swedish Crust with the sound of Satanic Rites.

And Legion666 from Canada is a superb Crustcore band with the best "Apocalyptic Raids" cover-tribute:

Not necessarily clones, but the following bands/recordings have a strong Hellhammer/early Frost vibe to them:

Winter (demo only)
Tyrant (Sweden)
Necro Schizma
Tondra
Nordic Mist
Incriminated
Sheer Terror (1st LP only)

I agree about AR's second album, a fuckin' masterpiece!
Cianide - not my cup of tea to be honest...
Never heard about Crude Society System, maybe you've got some mp3's?
As for Legion666 - I've never heard about them either, but TANGOPRODRIM's 3rd albums "cover art" is not less inspired by Apocalyptic raids Very Happy

I don't have any MP3s of Crude SS, so better check the web, but a compilation CD of them for trade (incl. all early stuff, with 7", Vikings Are Coming sampler tracks, and what not else)

Incriminated - I saw that they've got some cover art reminiscent of Hellhammer, but their song that I heard on the 5" split with Barbatos simply sucks... (Sorry YK, but the song itself is stupid and the sound of this thing isn't that good either in my opinion). Should I give them a second chance?

What the Hell does TONDRA have to do with Hellhammer, except for the fact that they covered REAPER? I was asking about bands that are inspired by Hellhammer in general and not those who just covered their song or two... Same goes for NORDIC MIST - a killer tribute to Morbid Tales, but nothing to do with Hellhammer...

Tyrant is a killer band indeed, but I'd say that they're much more ispired by CF rather than Hellhammer.

Trench Hell's upcoming EP seems to be less influenced by Hellhammer than the 7"...

and who the Hell are Sheer Terror?...

US-Hardcore band. The guitar-player was a H2CF freak and the guitarsound on the Just Can't Hate Enough LP from 1989 (ignore the rest of their discography) is pure Hellhammer worship. The vocals are over the top bullhormon-driven madness. Great LP.

For some Sheer Terror mixed with Winter (the slow doomy stuff and image) some Darkside NYC wouldn't hurt hunting next.

Yeah, they published the cover artwork around a year ago (maybe even more) and it's still not released... But HHR will release it soon (I hope that it will be SOON indeed)
