For Colombian bands, nothing gets better for me than YOGTH SOTHOTH.

Their album, "Abominations of the Nebulah Mortiis" is a great modern death metal masterpiece of old school USDM worship. They're great, with a big old school Suffocation influence, but also lots of sick fucking HEAVY doomy slam bludgeoning like Incantation. And they have a lot of just really cool musical "stuff", like neat little musical hooks, stuff that makes you stop and be like "oh shit, that was pretty sweet".

So, Yogth Sothoth - "Abominations of the Nebulah Mortiis" is where its at man. The album is so awesome, it has the PERFECT death metal production where all the instruments are clear and well-recorded, but it has the spongey analog warmth and slimey atmosphere. Production-wise, it makes me think of "Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka" and "Despise The Sun".

Anyway, my absolute favorite song of theirs is "Calling the Wrath of Evil". Other good songs from the album, though, are "Mystic Void", the opening "Prayer of Doom", and "Endless Infernal Darkness".

They're just a really good band, with memorable riffs and cool musical twists. They're effective. And, I love them because they're SO HEAVY. Like, they should be the lesson in modern death metal for how to be heavy without resorting to cheesey breakdowns or bland doom chords. But the combination of the riffing with the perfect production on this album... oh man. I need to go listen to it right now haha

Yogth Sothoth - "Abominations of the Nebulah Mortiis". Buy it, and support a well-deserving band.

This definitely sounds like something I'd be into, I'll check them out, thanks.

I suggest you to check 2 bands, but maybe they are categorized as "punk/hardcore" normally.

One is "Restos de Tragedia", the other one is "Ataque De Sonido".
They released 7' only I think.

Punk/Hardcore bands, but they play really brutal and totally destroy!!!

Seriously though, I thought the Krisiun LP came out when Unmerciful Order came out, like 1994.....

You are incorrect.

Well, shit. Thats unfortunate to know haha. I mean on one hand, to me, having that material on vinyl is well-worth what I spent, but on the other hand, I am a little dismayed that its not an original thing related to the band from back then. But at the end of it, its the material that counts, and the record was pressed properly and sourced probably from the CD, because it sounds fucking fantastic, and thats all I care about.

mmmmm..... "Meaning of Terror" playing on vinyl.... mmmmmmmmm

Yeah dude, I really hope you check them out, because they really are a fantastic band. And GREAT people, too. I talk with their guitarist/founding member Carlos fairly regularly, and he's just a great dude who just loves metal.

I'm gonna put that CD on right now actually, because I miss hearing it... i fucking LOVE the production on this album. When the sludgey grime guitars of "Prayer of Doom" finally come creeping in.... ugh!! The sound is just so fucking killer!!!

I'm a huge sucker for when this guitar tone is done right: the really spongey, squishy analog scooped-mid sound, like Nile's "Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka", Suffocation's "Pierced From Within", as opposed to like, Deicide which scoops but always had a kind of thin and less ballsy sound.

I had no idea that Blasfemia had reformed and released a new album this year. Doesn't sound like they've wimped out either:

Herpes' EP is absolutely insane. Now that's a dose of reverb! Evil or Very Mad
