i have one of these things...

works ok, kind of a pain in the ass, anyway, i cant figure out how i would hook this up to speakers to use it as a regular turntable. ive only been using it to convert vinyl to mp3's, and have been using two other old crappy stereo system turntables for listening....any help would be greatly appreciated. ive never owned a professional turntable, only shitty cassette/cd/phono stereos, forgive my ignorance...

You will need a separate phono preamp if you don't have phono inputs on your amp/receiver.

you should be able to run it with every amp/receiver with a free plug for aux or phono or sth.
easiest possibility is a phono plug with built in preamp, else you have to use an external one, like mentioned above

Looks like my Numark turntable. Does it have the red and white audio outputs on it? Most of the Logitec speakers have a phono input adapter with a headphone jack on the other side that plugs into the sub or the headphone input on the control panel. They are great for Turntables!

I'm the happy owner of this:

My version is an upgraded version made by a Belgian local firm.

first you need to find out, do the turntable you own has a preamp? Many newer player has this, then you can plug it into any amp with red and white jackinputs. If it dont have preamp (ria), then you either need a amplifier with phono input or to buy a seperate preamp.

If you buy a receiver for it you are best off with a 2 channel unit. Most nowadays cheap/mid price units are 5.1 (surround sound) which is no better for LPs which are 2 channel. I just got a Techniques 2 channel for $1 at a garage sale. You will be able to find one on craigslist or Goodwill for $20-40.

If your LP player does need the preamp (if it doesnt have it built in or you use a newer receiver without phono inputs) you can have mine, I dont need it any more.

Like someone else said, yours probably has it built in.
