May I ask what difference you think there is in a band's music based on what label a band is signed to? |

Try Razorback and Deathgasm, they carry it. I got it from Razorback (CD version).
In fact I was expecting a bit more of Necrovation, and while very good, I think some more variation could work better, or maybe it is the production. But a killer release anyway.
Sometimes a label makes a difference in how the band will approach the NEXT time. But Metal Blade is one of the few that let the artist keep their integrity i.e. Desaster, Fleshcrawl, Vomitory. The only bad thing about them is that in the USA the do not release all the stuff they do in Europe. It happened with Desaster "Angelwhore"...and that is why I had the chance to buy the license for NA...it seems they have noticed it was a mistake, and now the new one and HoB will be released in America...but some other labels are so smart, they push their band slowly to turn to shit... _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

I actually enjoy Hail Of Bullets and will pick up the MLP from NWN! when I have the $$$. Necrovation LP is very good in my opinion and well worth picking up! _________________ Glorious Dawn Upon The Plateau Of Might Now Burns!!

I've listened to the HOB mCD about ten times more than the Dead Congregation record. I'll take that sort of death metal over the Immolation styled stuff any day.
At any rate, I think these two bands are way too dissimilar to compare -- it's just going to come down to personal taste. |

Just blasted it from their myspace page...got some good songs, and has a nice production...still, for me, I prefer DC. It is not they are in the same style, it is which band I like more. Anyway, yeah, I will buy this one as soon as I have chance. I think it will be available in a couple of weeks. I'll order this and the CD version of Desaster. _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

Gene from Angel Corpse just told me the NECROVATION 'Breed Deadness Blood' is really killer, and in the same style as REPUGNANT/KAAMOS/VERMINOUS type stuff.
I also missed out on getting a copy of this from NWN, but Razorback Records has em for 10 bucks like somebody else said.
And if you love the REPUGNANT 'Epitome of Darkness' album as I do, but haven't heard VERMINOUS, you owe it to yourself to find 'Impious Sacrilege'!!! I think it equals the Repugnant in it's ripping evil, and I know that's a bold statement. |

To those who like to have the Hails Of Bullet full-length on LP: Costa/Iron Pegasus will not do the LP-version of it. Seems Metal Blade will do them on their own. _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:

That's a word! Yepp, Verminous is even more poisonous imho as there's some genious madness in the musick, something which makes the irrepressible Death getting under the listener's skin. The first and last Repugnant album has great songs indeed, but the final mix sucks bloody ass regarding to the pre-mix. |

I've got a rough mix of that Repugnant, but don't really recall anything majorly different except for all the vocal effects not being in place on it compared to the final mix. Maybe I need to listen to it again!
Oh, and yet another Swedish one album band I thought of in this style/vein is FACE OF EVIL, which is fucking great as well! (And even more of a bitch to find than that VERMINOUS CD.) |

Possibly a stupid question, but I dont have all day to cruise about looking this shit up. I saw the CD version of the HoB full-length today, but is there a Vinyl version on the cards?
The MLP is great (although I listened to it the first few times on 33rpm haha - thought Van drunen had gotten a bit more Guttural!), but I want to know before I order the cd. |
