Comment 1: Funebrarum rules
Comment 2: the stuff on this CD (all of it) is the best they've recorded, IMO. I actually just tracked down and ordered a copy of this myself, even though I own the original EP and debut CD. _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |

How is the demo material? I've never heard it, but I love the BTCOAG record and the EP. _________________ Helcaraxë - Death Metal

I just got my copy. The demo material is in line with their other stuff musically (and two of the songs are not repeated elsewhere), but the sound quality is fairly poor - kind of muffled and bass-heavy, with some hiss and crackle on top. It's not totally unlistenable but the quality doesn't compare at all with the other 7 tracks. When they slow down you can tell what's going on - when they start going fast though, the guitar kind of turns into a wall of noise.
About the booklet, it definitely offers almost nothing. 4 pages, just a b&w photo taking up two of them, and a track list on the back - no credits, thanks list, liner notes, nada. It doesn't even specify which releases the tracks originally came from anywhere, which I think is pretty weird. I'm also confused about who put it out - Metal Archives says Obliteration Records, but the only label logo or info anywhere on it is the Morbid Wrath logo on the back. It's a really odd release, all things considered. Luckily the music and cover art are unimpeachable. _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |

It's released by Obliteration Records but the band considers it to be a bootleg. They talked about a possible release yet never gave their permission and then noticed that Obliteration went ahead and pressed it. |
