Just for guys that are obsessed with the Sunlight guitar-tone and SWE-dödsmetall in general:
I wanted to start a Sunlight list in my label-discographies but found already one on the web. Leif of Carnage fanzine had a nice discography of the Sunlight studio already, which I updated with 50+ recordings. Killer sounding studio, and I guess 1990/1991 was the best year ever for this studio. So many bands each week recording their masterpieces.

That's a great list, Peter - I actually ran into that by web search a while back and started tracking down most of the releases on it. That's a murderer's row of death metal. Even most of the obscurities on there are worth hearing. |

hehe, well Leif just updated some minutes ago the list with all my news that I mailed him. Damn, this list is so now so übermegakiller, and between 1988-1992 there is nearly no low-point. And the mega unknown demos (Memorium, Obscure Infinity, Gehirm, ...) are just pure madness. Damn, wrong friends, no right distribution and a thousand killer bands that splitted up after the first and only demo. So sad...
And there will be more updates in the future when I have tracked down MOOOOAAARRR dödsmetalldemos. |

You know - I've been waiting for some of the bigger demo bands to get compilation releases (Abhoth, Crematory, Utumno, Nirvana 2002, Interment among many others really deserve it, and some are supposed to be in the works already). But looking at that list, it seems to me someone should do a CD box set of obscure Swedish demos. Just get the rights to as many as possible and release a mega-compilation of this stuff. That would be a wet dream for me. |

Peter, your work is amazing!
dalecooper - what is the sense with "tracking down" discography of Sunlight? Collect it on cd / lp or cdr / tape copy _________________ https://dementedomen.org/ - https://www.facebook.com/dementedomen/
DOOM CD 002: NEKRAPE "The Hypostasis Of The Archons"

My thoughts exactly, but choose Vinyl instead of a CD BOX.

That's what I mean. I like to get the originals when I can but rarity/pricing is often a problem. I have a lot of them though. |

Hmm, nice list! Shame Sunlight went as bad as Morrisound in the end, but there were always a few good bands. |

yes, I will collect updates and sent them later on to Leif. I have one more unknown demo (Corruption), I am pretty sure about the Utumno 7". And the Tiamat debut now. That I forgot totally, as the 2nd LP was recorded in Woodhouse studio... thanks for this !!! |
