|
|
Is there a popular or standard site which allows you to create trade/no trade/want lists? Metal-archives has the collection feature but it only applies to albums which are on their site, plus doesn't pay attention to format. Recordnerd.com is another one I found but the search feature seems kind of week for tracking down what other people are trading.
I find sometimes I wish to show traders everything I have when they aren't interested in stuff on my trade list, so I need some sort of database. Would be nice if it was online always and easily searchable by label, format, artist etc instead of just a list on my computer.
Anyone know of good ones? |

| I use www.pop.nu - not perfect, but one of the best I've seen around. |

I use Movie Collector from collectorz.com for my site www.bloodshotvideo.com
They make one for music too. I like it but with this you have to pay for the web hosting and then spam your url all over to get trades. Also more obscure titles still need to be added manually.
Have you guys ever got trade offers simply from having your collections up on pop.nu or recordnerd? Or do you find you still need to use a forum or something to point to the list? |

I don't like recordnerd at all, not much "nerd" there. It's hard to put lots of details on each release like Cat.# etc.
I got several offers for trades on pop.nu, despite I don't even have a tradelist there. |

| I like to use Rate Your Music, which is at http://rateyourmusic.com. I found the website to be user friendly and easy to make lists. |

| www.discogs.com has some pretty nice features, including the ability to export your collection to excel. The only problem is only about 50% of the albums I tried to add were in their database. For example NWN catalog was maybe only 20% complete...Anyone can add more titles, but it would be time consuming to do it if you had a large collection of mostly obscure stuff. |

Got asked this by Mr.ZOOOUHH already, thought also about it, but my time is damn limited...stressful job which pays for the bills and the records but which shrinkens the sparetime.
(at least I have my collection on my homepage for viewing and which is updated each 2nd month plus the label-list which gets a monthly update. But I don't have time for more) |

Yes ! but you are not in a hurry ,1 hour a month , 10 releases a month
You don't have to spend 10 hours a week....
