Impurity Biography
Impurity emerged from the depth of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil where other notable bands such as Sarcofago and Sextrash resided in the mid 80’s. Influenced by ancient black heavy metal bands like Venom, Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, Samael, Bathory, Blasphemy and Black Sabbath, they set out to create their own unholy noise over 14 years ago.
The band released their vinyl only debut album “The Lamb’s Fury” on June 1993 through Cogumelo Records. To this day the album is sorely overlooked and rather hard to find. The music contained within was pure Brazilian black metal with vocals in the style of Holocausto Bloody Vengeance of Beherit and drums reminiscent of DD Crazy’s performance on I.N.R.I.
The CD “Into the Ritual Chamber” was released on June 1996 by the same label, and contained the entire “The Lamb’s Fury” tracks as bonus. The new tracks revealed a different sound for Impurity, but the overall feel remained the same.
It is now the year 2006 and the debut album is unearthed once again from obscurity and presented in vinyl format for the die hard maniacs. This version is pressed on 180 gram colored vinyl and includes a full color 12″ x 12″ booklet and poster. A very limited die hard picture disk version will also become available in the coming weeks.

It took me a while to find an original copy in good condition. Every copy I found was beat to shit. Those Brazilians don't treat their records nicely at all.
Anyone remotely interested in Sarcofago, Beherit, and Blasphemy should worship this record. _________________ Contact: nwnprod@gmail.com

must be typical southamerican, just take a look at the relativly new Retrosatan LP, great packaging all around but you can nearly look through the (coloured) vinyl.
btw. Yosuke wouldn´t it be great if you release a flexi disc sometime? maybe as an extra for forthcoming die hard editions |

Yeah and it's still available in tons of distribution lists as well. Seems like lots of people aren't even aware of the existence of that band... |
