I don't know how far you can go before you consider something too cheesy, but here are some bands I've really liked from the past decade or so:

The Lord Weird Slough Feg
Isen Torr
Holy Martyr
Doomsword
Jotenheim
Battle Ram
Airged L'amh (mainly the demo)
Arpyian Horde
Wrathblade
Litany
Raging Storm
Atlantean Kodex
Portrait
Helvetets Port
Enforcer
etc

A lot of these bands don't have much out yet aside from a single or two...
this is a good list, though I've never heard Airged L'amh

Seems no more in stock here now. Though I will see if I can get a copy at some point.

That's who I was going to mention; finally someone else has heard of this demo! Great mix of doom and a little early style thrash; not much distortion or harsh vocals, but double the riffs! Where is this band now?

I need to third this recommondation ! Great band ! Their demo was supposed be be re-released by FINAL PUNISHMENT RECīs !

Als WITCHCURSE from greece are great ! Their demo is good stuff, would be even better if not a rehearsal recording !

Fourth recommendation. That demo rules, what's up with them nowadays?

Witchcurse is very funny in my opinion. I also find them to be quite boring.

I heard the advance tracks for next Demons Gate, it could be better than the first demo. They are going to release a split 7" next with Murkrat. Not sure what label but could be abysmal sounds. Anyone who does not have the first demo and wants one, contact Cobbled Path!!

that is a bit of a weird choice to share a split release.

Los Asesinos del Pentagrama. I only know their EP on LOD. Old school HM like Maiden. I like it, especially the great spananiac vocals Smile Anyone heard their full-length ?
