I think Old Funeral are great, but they're one of those bands to me I always forget about and rediscover every 6 months, love and then forget for the next 6 months again. Certainly better than any of the turgid shit Immortal have released, but I couldn't say it was better than Burzum.

I've never been much of a fan of Thou Shalt Suffer though. I think the terrible quality of the recordings ruined some of it for me.

Agreed!!! Their demo was the best!!!! They changed to a little bit of Black/Death Metal after that (when Vikernes joined)...

Tore Bratseth (far left in the photo) of OLD FUNERAL played in a Motorhead tribute band called BOMBERS these days. I'm not sure this band still around or not but here's the flyer of the early BOMBERS' gig....

Abbath is playing in the band as well. I have the Bömbers 7" for trade if anyone is interested.
