Rotting Corpse are 1980s purist thrash/death like Kreator, Exhorder or Rigor Mortis. They just re-released their demos on CD and are touring in March with Prong, who were like a Voivod/Metallica crossover at their best, and Soulfly, who've given up jump metal and are playing old Sepultura songs.

You can get the ROTTING CORPSE demos CD from their myspace page:

And get tour dates here:

That's a fucked up line-up. Ignite does melodic sXe Hardcore, Soulfly is shit Nu-Metal, Prong does some crappy version of "Post-Thrash" and then Rotting Corpse....I could see some potential fights brewing amidst the audience at this one.

Yeah, even if they came near me I wouldn't go. Not worth it. God, what a horrible fucking lineup.

This line-up is terrible. I can't believe Rotting Corpse is pretty much the opener band for all of these...

Yeah, it's exactly backward, isn't it? They should be opening for Rotting Corpse!

I have to say though Prong was really good up until the late 1990s, then they lost me.

Soulfly... no comment needed. Even nu-metallers hate this band for its total insincerity. Too Much Meth Max should have stayed with Sepultura.

But, Soulfly is playing mostly 1980s Sepultura tunes!

Prong is playing about a third of their set from Beg to Differ!

And you get to see Rotting Corpse!

I have no idea what Ignite it, sounds really dumb, but there's one of those in every show.

I agree that Prong was great. I won't go to this show.

Did Max Cavalera really have a meth issue? That's funny...

I like some early Ignite material. It sounds like an overproduced and almost power metallish Uniform Choice.

However, the band on this bill is called "Incite". Everything Prong did up to and including their major label debut is pure gold.

Ah, Incite. That makes more sense, another Lamb of God wannabe band.

I agree about Ignite, I liked everything up until Our Darkest Day's.
