well.. if you take good care of cds´s they'll proably last longer. LPs get's lightly scratched everytime you take em out from the sleeve. But I still agree, LP > CD

of course LP's are much better, but CD's have their purpose as well...like bringing in the car with you.

Vinyl is for sure better than CD, sound wise. Even the experience/ritual of taking out the record from the sleeve, and watching tn spin on the turn table like an unholy pentagram!!

But, Lately I'v taken a break from vinyl because I'm a lazy bastard, and money is tight with me. Vinyl usually gets quite expensive. As do CDs, but if you buy used its usually ok. Used vinyl is usually pretty stupid, all the vinyl I'v baught used has been scratched to the maximum.

What? That's crazy talk. You either need better skills, less beer, or some new sleeves.

Wow. haha

1. Using the bananna method is nonsense. The bananna is an organic substance subject to rot and decay. Do you want your CD to smell like rotten fruit at some point ? Laughing
Ridiculous method. Laughing

2. Using windex... yea, great for cleaning the dirt and grime off the cd play surface, however this particular fluid does not fill scratches and makes them vanish. Not the right kind of formula for that.

Not sure if they sell them anymore but a few years ago there was a thing that you could put on scratched cd's that would make them work perfectly.

Disc resurfacing is the only way to go. Ask a local DVD vendor.

Playing them damages them, even if it is extremely lightly. CDs last something like 150 years I think, if kept in a good environment.
