I just got the Mortuary Drape - Into the Catchthonium comp. and it has some gay static sound that surfaces once in a while over both recordings. Sounds like a shitty record or tape hiss.

I read that the first pressing of this was a bootleg and it was later released by Hell Institute, this time endorsed by the band. This is the Hell institute version.

Anyone else have this problem?

I can remember that the cd had some up- and downturns in the sound. didn't listen to the official version yet, but I would love to have the cover of the bootleg on lp-size and even a vinyl release.

I have it and my copy sounds fine, start to finish. I wonder if part of the pressing was flawed.

Mine also sounds good...probably a factory mistake on your copy?

I have it. It sounds fine, but I actually think "Into the Drape" might be a different mix than the original CD. The vocals seem much lower, but I'm not sure.
