Ah, ok. Never forget when I coincidally heard the other version for the first time by a friend of mine, both of us didn't know about these two versions. Was really confusing.

Steamhammer didn't want to release what would be know as the US version, but the wrong mastertape was sent Metal Blade and they used it. And then they even managed to do that mistake again with the 1988 CD.

So, there is no CD Version with the European Steamhammer Version of ObC?

I would love to see a double CD/LP Edition with both versions, like it was done with the Dark Funeral debut with the Abyss version and the Unisound version.

That one exists. It was released by Wax Manix a few months ago.

Obssessed by Cruelty - try to track down both versions. The original Euro version has an extra track and sounds more like a demo. Most people prefer the American version, but I like the shitty Euro version more.

The Euro version is superior on both, performance and sound wise. My favorite as well.

Can we get an update including the last couple records? Epitome and Decision interest me somewhat although I haven't bothered to check them out to date.

Didn't check, but both albums are probably uploaded on YouTube. Just listen them for free with your own ears. Wink

Well, I bought Epitome on vinyl when it was released. Back then it was my favorite album in 2013. but recently I played album again... Horrible Laughing I don't know why but now I can't listen.

Decision Day - I would say it's better then EOT but it's not too far.

It has been the same with all their albums since 2006. You hear it, like it at first, but it loses that edge pretty quickly. Still way better than what bands like Kreator or Slayer release nowadays, but not masterpieces in the end.

I couldn't agree with Slayer because I'm in love with them Embarassed (even Repentless is often on my playlist) but for Kreator I'd agree. That band exists only until 1990 in my opinion.

I assume it's pretty healthy for everyone to pretend most of the old thrash metal bands disbanded in 199x and to ignore their discography from that point on.
