Kassu Halonen is a well-known finnish adult pop song writer and musician. He has wrote 1500 songs; many popular hit songs for Kirka (Kimmo Kuusniemi Band "Moottorilinnut") for example. However, back in the days, 1986, Halonen recorded and released pure heavy metal album called "I Have Played Rock 'N' Roll". Kassu himself sang and played keyboards on this album. I thought that here I could find people who may like this stuff, this is why I made this topic.

Enjoy!

"I'm Rock" is absolutely one of the best traditional heavy metal songs ever came from Finland.

Halonen's heavy metal stuff is really unknown stuff I think. I REALLY enjoy this album and I seriously think that some of you guys might really find this stuff interesting.

Listen and tell me your opinions.

(Anyone here likes Kirka's heavy rock albums? Kassu Halonen wrote those albums...)

This sounds pretty good, but I must say that I prefer Kirka's heavy metal albums. They're the shit.

EDIT: I'm Rockin soolot on vitun hyviš.

Yeah, Kirka rules big time of course. R.O.C.K. really is a classic piece of finnish heavy metal history.

Still, the best Kirka performance ever in my opinion is "1000 Megawatin Totuus/Truth of 1000 Mega Watts" from the mighty "Moottorilinnut" album. Wink

Moottorilinnut album rules supreme, killer songs! Classic!

I saw Kirka on his last tour before death, he was really cool guy, though I didn't have chance to chat about the moottorilinnut lp with him...
