"Satanic Blood Angel" gets better and better every time I listen to it. I remember when it first came into the shop where I was working I was a little confused by it and not entirely sure that I liked it. I remember wishing that the words were "sung" more rapidly, but figured that they weren't because the echo effect would just make 'em all blur into a mess. Come to think of it that's the only issue I think I ever had with it and even though I wasn't crazy for the disc, I WAS intrigued(logical successor to confusion, I suppose)and decided to hang onto the thing. However many years later and countless re-listens in, it is undoubtedly one of my favorite metal releases EVER. The pacing(the spaced out phrasing, I've discovered, while, yes, keeps the lyrics from getting all muddled, also gives you ample time to throw longer, stronger fists in the air), the production, every fucking thing about this release just fucking kills me. Last year I found a copy that I at first assumed to be a bootleg, but isn't (see thread elsewhere on list), with photos(although, now that i look at the first press there's a photo on there too. a bad ass one too. forgot about it for some reason.) of this mysterious beast known as VON. Every time I look at these photos I wish for a time machine and am filled with nearly unbearable envy for anyone who saw VON play. After a particularly satisfying re-listen to the disc this week I decided to make a call out to anyone who may have seen VON play, has any more photos, fliers, stories, etc. I'd love to see anything you might have to share. Thanks in advance. Markos.

out of curiosity, i was gonna ask this after reading one of the witches hammer interviews........what's with the "black metal skinhead" thing? or even just metal skinhead thing? understand, i'm not offended, have had plenty of skin friends in the past and know that they are often misunderstood, but i'm just curious about the origin and whether or not there's anything behind it. it's probably as complicated as explaining skins in general, but if anyone has got any insights i'd be curious to hear 'em. |

I have the Die Hard DLP (lim200) and it is a real gem in my collection!! But I'm still wondering about its extras.
My question is: What is this huge red thing near the sticker in the picture I found in the net?
I don't have it in my DLP, there are only two stickers (one small and one that is shown in the picture), a thick black backpatch with white coverprint, booklet, poster. |

Are you sure? I never see that col.DLP. I think it's one of the "unofficial" NWN! Releases, like the Die-Hard(er) Sarcofago Picture LP in the sack. |
