Hey guys,

I have a turntable that has been sitting here forever and loads of records waiting to be listened to...but unfortunately my regular stereo doesn't seem to like the turntable that much.

So i'm looking to invest in a system/speakers to play my vinyl on. I have a Sony PS-LX250H...not sure if that helps or not, but I'd really appreciate reccomendations on speakers, or what you guys use in your setups.

Thanks!

if you go to sam ash or guitar center, you can pick up a mini-amp which has a connector for a ground wire in the dj section. if you ground the turntable you should have no problems using your regular speaker setup to play the records.

i'm not home right now but when i am i will tell you exactly which one i use

heres what i just aquired recently, the amp is an old kenwood w/ dolby from the late 70's the speakers no clue what year they are Bose 901 Seroes II, the turntable is a new ion iTTUSB turntable (compatable with the computer). It sounds great, i think you can pick up these for a fairly good price on ebay and the likes of.

they really do, but not really they are built quite well (i can only speak for this model) i have had this one for almost a year now and it works great no problems out of it what so ever. i have had more problems out of the other setup i have in my living than this USB turntable.

i really need new speakers.

i use a technics SL - D3 Direct Drive Automatic...

i kind of want to get one of those ion turntables... for when I get my Mac.
Dunno if the software is compatible... I jsut want to listen to the albums through my good computer 5.1 speakers. I have no use for recording them to mp3.

I'm using a Numark TTUSB turntable hooked to my pc.
Usb turntables indeed looks and feels cheap, too much
plastic, but the TTUSB with an upgraded stylus it sounds
great, very solid machine. I'm using a pair of Event TR6
speakers, which are studio monitors actually, but I have
really impressive results.

cheers
