Australia's small-run noise imprint, MINIMAL IMPACT is proud to present a new batch of three cassette releases from domestic acts ECO TERROR, and ENJOY OUR LAST CENTURY ON EARTH, and POSIES from the United Kingdom. All on upcycled type-I cassettes with laser-printed jcards, the releases adhere to notions of agency through reuse and retroactive transcription.

[MIN05]

ECO TERROR - Power Ambient Fog Hallucinations

https://minimalimpactnoise.bandcamp.com/album/power-ambient-fog-hallucination
https://ecoterror.bandcamp.com/album/power-ambient-fog-hallucination

Melbourne’s ECO TERROR melds rigorous H.N.W. practices with grandiose power electronic emissions in Power Ambient Fog Hallucinations. Completely maximal, these new recordings demonstrate the poetics of blown out amplification as an elegant observation of the anthropocene. Edition of 32 upcycled cassettes with xeroxed jcards and labels.

[MIN18]

ENJOY OUR LAST CENTURY ON EARTH - Active Mode of Inquiry

https://minimalimpactnoise.bandcamp.com/album/active-mode-of-inquiry

In summation of two years of active participation in live sound, MINIMAL IMPACT presents three new offerings of sceptical, self-referential harsh electronic cuts from ENJOY OUR LAST CENTURY ON EARTH. Formed in 2016 through a chance meeting in the institution, the duo have remained stalwart about their intention in negating monoculture in live music settings. Included are two studio tracks, and a live demonstration recorded early 2018.

Edition of 40 on upcycled cassettes with xeroxed covers.

[MIN17]

POSIES - s/t

https://minimalimpactnoise.bandcamp.com/album/posies-2
https://posies.bandcamp.com/album/posies

Reissue of POSIES self-titled tape from 2015. An exercise in post-industrial decay, the four recordings on each side are cold, left-of-field reminders of an enduring, archaic metonymy, realized through ritual, synthetic noise and sound collage. First widely produced run, dubbed with permission from original private edition of 5 to preserve a bonus cassette only track. Limited to 28 colour toner copies on pink jcard.

Found Remains is proud to present two new releases from Remnants and Victorine Meurent!

Remnants's Vacant Corridor

Following the recent Marred By Time LP on Crisis Of Taste, Remnants continues to take listeners on a seemingly-endless voyage through dark and decaying passages on Vacant Corridor. Ryan Marino of NYC has been producing tape works as Remnants since 2010, primarily on his own Imminent Frequencies imprint, which has also presented the works of a variety of vital noise and experimental artists from around the globe. The essence of Remnants is just that: residue and fragments of the past, present, and future are captured and arranged together to create an alternate reality of infinite time, blurred memories, and weightlessness. Constant tape hiss adds to the aural hypnosis created on Vacant Corridor: it acts as an object that the listener can hold onto while passing by projections of faded impressions, the line of sibilance being the only thing guiding the listener down a path that never ends. (Text by Luke Tandy/Skeleton Dust Recordings)

Victorine Meurent's Even Less of the Harmony of Maine

Even Less Of The Harmony Of Maine finds Jarrod Skene's Victorine Meurent project in a state of deep reflection. It is undeniable to say that we are all influenced by history — ethnically, sociologically, creatively, and how we exist in this very moment of time. The mark left on us by the past occurs in an infinite number of ways that is often hard to recognize on the surface, but is always there, constantly shifting the fabric of reality. Taking from the late-era John Cage work "Some Of The Harmony Of Maine," Victorine Meurent ruminates on the past and how it has shaped Skene himself as an individual in the present. A nostalgic organ resonates, interlaced with delicate flute tones while the sounds of life come and go. Together, these aural memories feel fleeting but timeless: the final shining crescent of a sunset descending beyond the earth. (Text by Luke Tandy/Skeleton Dust Recordings)

*Please note* This preorder is ONLY for the deluxe version of "Magazine." The standard edition will be available in March. You can preorder the record, along with a 4-sided longsleeve shirt, at the New Forces webstore, https://newforces.bigcartel.com/

New Forces is happy to announce the reissue of "Magazine," the landmark noise album by The Rita, as a gatefold double LP. Originally released as a limited-edition double cassette on Swedish label Abisko in 2005, "Magazine" has since become a near-legendary album, considered by many to be the finest recording from pioneering harsh noise artist The Rita (and equally celebrated for its iconic artwork, featuring a Big Muff effects pedal acting as the magazine for a machine gun). "Magazine" contains 80 minutes of militant noise music, with Sam McKinlay pushing the limits of extreme sound until they begin to implode. Drawing influence from abstract painters such as Ad Reinhardt and Kazimir Malevich, the four tracks on "Magazine" are progressively deconstructed, slowly taking the dynamic sonic elements away until the last track is a linear / minimalist “wall” of texture and crunch. Ultimately the hope is that under a microscope the same slowly deteriorating audio dynamism and viciousness from the first three tracks is still present, just found within the walls of linear crunch during the last track, “Obsession.” A study in brutality, density, and focus, "Magazine" tests the listener, challenging them to fully engage with the shifting layers of sound that, through careful study, continually expand beyond their seemingly minimalist form. This militant approach to sound became a call to action for a generation of noise artists who were influenced by The Rita, and "Magazine" has finally been reissued for all to hear.

This deluxe edition of "Magazine" includes the regular edition double-LP, a double cassette tape packaged in a vinyl case featuring remixes of "Magazine" by Werewolf Jerusalem and Treriksröset, two 1-inch buttons, two stickers, an 11x17 poster with the original "Magazine" artwork, expanded liner notes from Sam McKinlay and Tommy Carlsson (Abisko / Treriksröset), and a t-shirt with the original artwork, all packaged in a cardboard mailer, screen-printed on one side with the art from the cassette version of "Magazine" and on the other side with an image from The Rita's favorite scene from "Jaws 4."

The shirts are printed on American-made "Bayside" brand shirts, which fit like a Gildan but are higher quality.

There are a limited number of these boxes available, and they are only available as a preorder from New Forces. Please allow, at minimum, 4-6 weeks for delivery, as many of the components, such as the shirts, are being printed to order. It is possible delivery could take longer, but we will move as quickly as possible to get them into your hands. The vinyl records are finished and in-hand at New Forces, so there will not be any delays related to vinyl pressing to worry about.

Please note: the regular edition of "Magazine" will be available in early March, along with three other new tapes from New Forces. The regular edition is not available for preorder.

Unfortunately the batch sold out rather quickly. There might be a second edition of the Heretic Grail tape.

UTØYA new tape, "Analysis Of Sexual Illusion Exchange: Specimen I: Throat" (C20), out now on Contradiction Tapes:

"The parallelism between sperm and binary information is pretty common, but evolving as a society means evolving as its basic incipit. Binary code combined into more complex information, turning the elementary unit of life into the means of leadership. Being sprayed over by a cumshot of validation. Cervical fluid of retribution. Not even sex for change. The illusion of sexual intercourse, the teasing of deep wolfpack chords, lower belly heavy petting are the currencies of a world that fucks brains and shits over intelligence. Live a life locked into the cage of fluids exchange dream. Satisfy the ego of your master. Become the leather covered slave of the masses' leader. Like a moral Jonestown, drink down your weak ego satisfier and die like the brainwashed piece of flesh that you've always been. We are us, you are just one of those.
In a society that reduces people to objects, UTØYA elevated a mere object like a magnetic reel to a living mass of flesh. A repulsive intercourse that results in a two-tracks tape recorded in the foggy and careless countryland.
Dedicated to S."

Perverse electronics from Italy.
Limited to 40 copies in black sealed bags with full page, double sided insert. Individual tapes wrapped in twine.

OUTSIDER ART NEW NOISE BATCH:

This batch aims to showcase some of the best new projects, at all ends of the harsh spectrum, coming out of the UK right now. The whole batch is available at a discounted price.

Listen at www.outsiderart.bandcamp.com
Purchase at www.outsiderart.bigcartel.com

OA022:
FLESHLICKER is the solo project of Michael D. Brown (Ex-Swallowing/The Viennese Aktionists). Harsh noise grind, moments of creeping synth static, punctuated by scathing vocals and drum machine. Completely free of the humour so often found in noise grind, it presents an uncomfortable experience for the listener. Grindcore through a Power Electronic lens.

OA023:
ORDEAL BY ROSES:
Ordeal By Roses is a Welsh Power Electronics project. Formed from the ashes of Blood Medals, Ordeal By Roses is a deeply personal project, focused on death, loss and mental struggles. Two pieces are presented here, one harsher, and one more subdued track with vocals that really reflect the loss this project expressed buried perfectly in the landscape that has been created.

OA024:
ACTIVE DENIAL:
Active Denial are a new duo based in the South of England, bringing us here vocal heavy power electronics. Very minimal synth gives the vocals room to breathe and make it reminiscent of the sound of some of the original PE acts. This is the first release since their impressive debut live shows, and is another step up from their first tape on Cheap Food Records.

OA025:
KUEBIKO:
Kuebiko is very much a fixture of the Nottingham noise scene, part of the team responsible for the Rammel Club shows. On this, his cassette debut, he presents two slices of pure harsh noise that easily hold up against the best of current acts. Feedback blends into static seamlessly, with precise and carefully attention paid to the detail and texture.
