This is when Samael decided to go into a completely different sound, they didn’t go full Rammstein quite yet.. but this was definitely the beginning.

That being said, I actually really enjoy this album. There’s still a lot of moments that remind me of Ceremony, but I enjoy the weirdo dance rock they threw in. I also get a big “space” vibe when I put this one on.

What does the elite say? Do you like this album or did you give up on Samael after Worship Him?

I gave up after Blood Ritual, yet I still own this cd. I only had it because some chick I was into at the time really liked this album so I kept a copy around, then it eventually got buried in a box of crap cd's. I probably haven't played it in over 20 years so maybe I will try it someday, though not really in a rush to do so.

Great album.
There is merit in every Samael album, just harder to locate in some.

I think it was the Exodus EP that really signalled the departure from Samael and black metal to Samael and Rammstein metal Laughing ...however I do like the EP none the less, and Passage is a pretty decent album as well.

Jupiterian Vibe was awesome...

Sometimes I like it and sometimes I feel like it should have been the soundtrack to The Crow and I can't take it.

Obviously Ceremony is their peak by any measure. Passage is a fairly boring album but it has its moments and can be enjoyed given the right amount/mix of stimulants. I really liked the EP that came out with it - the one with the Alice Cooper cover and the hidden instrumental track.

I love Ceremony, so I'm not opposed to the introduction of the industrial elements, but I couldn't do this album...it's just not good.

Used to listen it in school, as it was second album after "Ceremony..." which I heard from the band and had no idea yet about earlier heritage. Thus no hate towards it. But what came later is... ehhr, well, you know. Smile

I thought and still think their third album is boring and think the same about this one. Rebellion is good, by the way.
