I believe the 7" is just demo material isn't it? They also did a split flexi with an exclusive song. What's on the split 7" with Impetigo?

If you ever find a calm moment, please take a picture of that Flexi 7" (and you FoH vinyl).

The split with Impetigo has two livetracks (from '92 and '94, both from shows in the US).

I have no idea where that flexi is in my piles of boxes. I still haven't unpacked anything since the move in Aug. My copy is missing the damn insert!! My friend Guillermo has a copy with insert that he got on ebay for a dollar.

Yeah I need to show off my Flames of Hell LP one of these days. haha

Ok about the split 7" with Impetigo. I didn't remember what was on that thing.

I look forwards to hearing this, but the artwork is horrible. Looks like something from all those shit Razorback bands. To me, it looks like cheesy, childish comic book stuff, doesn't convey any of the grimnity of the music at all.

It probably reminds you of those Razorback bands because it's the same artist. Putrid did the covers for several recent Razorback releases. As far as being "cheesy, childish comic book stuff" the guy was clearly influenced by old E.C. horror comics, so the look is intentional - and those of us old enough to remember and have loved E.C. Comics really dig on this stuff. No it's not super-grim, self-serious art - but frankly I think the metal scene is overloaded with that stuff. I like seeing somebody take it in a different direction. And this is very well-suited to a band like Anatomia.

That would explain things! Frankly, if I was old enough to remember EC Comics, I still wouldn't like the style. It does nothing for me. It doesn't have to be "super grim" and serious, but to me this style doesn't convey the records content.

Jake/ Tales from Uranus artwork was the worst IMO the only CD i kept was Morbid Savouring coz it's nasty goregrind...( i think it was Jakes)...I remember the awful Amoebic Dysentery debut CD cover...arghh it hurt.
Pierre of Braindead Webzine went into that gory/comic direction but he was more into Stevo's (Impetigo) art so it was at least acceptable.

BTW severed survival 2nd cover was also ripped off by Ross Sewage for Impaled's first LP. I liked his shit a lot. He took some really nice photos for Exhumed/Nyctophobic 7". and also the cover for the first Impaled LP is a classic. Even better than the one he did for Exhumed "Gore Metal" LP.

How weird, I was just discussing that first Impaled cover the other night with a friend. He likes indie, but that cover is so great it stuck in his mind haha. That's a really good album as well, can't say the same for any of their releases after though.

Damn those covers look great. A must buy for sure, one of the best Death Metal bands currently doing rounds.

Is the shirt still coming out?

I saw the design on Putrid's myspace and it's so killer!
