My cover is a shitty photoshop looking affair, with a bunch of statues buried in the sand. It's one of the weakest covers I've seen! What the hell?

1.Hell Awaits
2.South Of Heaven
3.Show no mercy
4. Seasons In The Abyss
5. Reign In Blood

for Slayer

...and for Morbid Angel
Altars ,Blessed & Covenant are all PERFECT ,Domination is excellent and the others are all good too ,but not good enough for MORBID ANGEL

Very Happy

Altars of Madness all the way. EVIL SPELLS!!!

For Slayer, since we're talking about it, has to be Hell Awaits followed very closely by Show no Mercy.

Agreed! Guess I'll leave that one of the trade list ha ha! A shitty cover really hurts an album; in my mind, a crap covers means crap music. Recent exceptions are the Agressor and Agrression reissue lps. Terrible digital covers, but the music slays!

hopefully they will record a new album with vincent and hopefully it will be good....doubtful though uh.

"Tell him he's dreaming" Even if they record with Vincent, Rutan will fuck it outright with his supremely gay riffs. The ONLY chance of another good Morbid Angel LP is if they get back Brunelle, For me he is the missing link, everything post Brunelle is a downward slide.

Whatever happened to Swollen?

I agree with Brunelle being the real driving force. Even though he hasn't written a lot of the material, I'm sure he was the one telling both Trey and David something along the lines of "Look, you're writing garbage".

I'm not quite sure how Brunelle can help Morbid Angel songwriting for better, he seemed being pretty fucked up with his drug problems

How much worse can he be than the rest of the band? perhaps it was the drugs he was taking that solidified the music there and then, and now its the drugs the rest of them are taking and the music is going to shit?

Besides Trey is more interested in harnessing "positive energy" and playing quake wars rather than writing a good riff

Drug use doesn't mean that a musician can't come up with a decent riff, many great bands wrote even greater material under the influence and even under the abuse of narcotics. I haven't anything about drugs, I'm a consumer myself of some of them, but Brunelle seems to be out of the picture because of this fact.
