hopefully 2009 will be the year this album finally shows up! Maybe someone here has some info on this.
For folks in NYC and surrounding areas they'll be playing in Brooklyn next Friday the 12th at this bar called Don Pedros (never been there myself). Good way to spend an evening seeing King Fowley and the rest of the guys if you've got nothing else on the agenda for the evening.
They've never let me down with their live show and the fact that they've been going for so long and still come and play tiny venues (not that they'd sell out large places...) is kind of cool in a way. Takes quite the set of stones to play in a metal band for just about 25 years now and still be willing to go out and play tiny bars and clubs. All five of their full-lengths are damn good and I'm willing to be the new one will be up to par when it finally comes out. If its half as good as As the Weird Travel On then it'll be a fine album. _________________ I was a brazen prince and cold, now a king on an oaken throne |

King Fowley posts at Lapland. You can always ask him there: http://www.laplandmetal.com/index.php _________________ "Order From Chaos, this band knows how to metal and they know how to satan and they most definitely know how to arghgh. It really doesn't matter which release you pick. They're ALL good. |

As The Weird Travel on is epic, thrashier death. The early stuff is more classic death. I'd suggest picking up As The Weird Travel on and Corpses, Soulds & Other Strangeness compilation. That comp has their first album, some live tracks and 13 Frightened Souls EP. _________________

My favorite is The Blueprints For Madness. Schizophrenic perfection. _________________ "Order From Chaos, this band knows how to metal and they know how to satan and they most definitely know how to arghgh. I'm only familiar with the early stuff, up to The Blueprints For Madness, should really check out more.
Luck of the Corpse is a classic as far as I'm concerned! It's insane - like a mix between REPULSION and VOÏVOD! _________________ Alone Wankyng |

You mirrored my thoughts exactly with the Repulsion/Voivod reference. From Fearless Undead Machines onward they switched over to a mixture of more traditional metal with a heavy dose of thrash. Still quite unique though, Supernatural Addiction and As the Weird Travel On are two albums that just deliver a feeling of 100% METAL. King's lyrics got even better as they went on imo. _________________ I was a brazen prince and cold, now a king on an oaken throne |

Are you familiar with the area that bar is in? Seems a little close to Bushwick, not the friendliest neighborhood in Brooklyn... _________________ I was a brazen prince and cold, now a king on an oaken throne |

This and the demos are the best. The demos could've come from South America. I heard Hells Headbangers is doing the demos boxset now. | Vinyl only? I was looking to pick up some more of the demos... _________________

How is the quality on Areadeath stuff? It looks decent, but China is associated with poor quality in the minds of many. Also, do all releases have lyrics in chinese or was it just the Thanatos and Negură Bunget discs? _________________
