Hilarious show; along with Deicide and Immortal, Morbid Angel are one of the funniest bands I've seen live. And after the show seeing the whole band, DV equipped with Cowboy hat, strut down into town with an entourage of kids just topped it off.

The gig was good, Vassafor were really impressive, best performance I've seen from them yet.

MA were pretty good despite the odd mistake. Got to meet Dave the night before at some meet and greet thing which was funny. I was the first person he approached, asked how I was and I said "okay, you?" didn't hear what he had to say after as I just went back to my beer. My mate reckons it's why he was in such a shit mood ha...

It was a good night and a good weekend all up though, Dawn of Azazel were hilarious.

Vassafor set - killer. Good to see the new line up in action

Didn't catch DOA... the great thing about the Transmission Room venue is that when you go outside you can't hear a thing.

Morbid Angel - good to hear/see some classics.

Morbid Angel were fucking boring... no longer the possessed demons of old.. maybe Petes had to much heroin over time as his drumming was sloppy and as a whole the band was slower than expected. the guitar tone was terrible.

All in all with Dave looking like a Motley Crew video extra this was more rock n roll circus ala Morbid Angel style 2009ce than crushing evil satanic speed and metal.

the new song they played wasnt great either..

This has been true the last few times I've seen them. They seem to adore the chintzy digital EQ'd distortion sound.

yeah that would be right, they had there own digi racks going through Marshall 900's !! the 900s alone are bad enough without using that dial up crap.!!

where as Vassafor used classic jcm 800's and the tone was evil as hell.

I definitely found Vassafor more impressive than Morbid Angel. One of the best performances I've seen in regards to atmosphere and sound as well as music.
