Okay, Blasphemy, Beherit and Sarcofago nerdism is popping up, let us worship this band which now seems completely forgotten. Hopefully some day a proper reissue of Divuus De Mortuus will come out along with some unreleased material. Truly psychotic Black/Death Metal as few manage to unleash today.

NECROVORE are many things, but "completely forgotten" is def not one of them. They're more talked about than ever these days, along with every other 'cult' act out there...

Still hoping NWN or BBTAD does an official release of both demos. The Abysmal Plains boot is cool but I'm certain there's a better audio source out there..

I don't really see their name coming up quite often, at least not as much as Blasphemy and other names. Yeah, the demo definitely deserves NWN treatment... YK has done a lot of great jobs with demos of Baxaxaxa, Abhorer and Impiety, only Necrovore is missing I think.

One demo released over 30 years ago and it still rules.

On a related note (ie. Bjorn Haga), any of you check this out yet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o_xTSQjQJM

Hail to the Gods of Death!

I'm listening to BlackTrack74 rip since he posted it, I think it's fine.
Of course, one can only dream about a proper reissue one day... Which me brings me to - what the fuck is wrong with members of this band when it comes to reissue?

Shame they haven't managed to do anything else officialy, Dauthus and Voices from the Darkside interviews were awesome but in a way I look down upon them for being unable to cope with their answers.

Still, if I read a certain band wields the influence of their satanic death madness I'm bound to check it - easily my favourite kind along with the doomed Autopsy worship.
Of course, it can't go without the mention of Morbid Angel (which I believe were more innovative at that stage but what the hell).

LaSanche is cool stuff.

I'm guessing that since it's been 30 years the band members simply don't give a shit at this point. It sucks but I understand.

One of the bands that has a very Necrovore sound is Beyond from Germany.

Hellpreacher were very good as well. Javier Villegas of Necrovore on drums, under the stage name Ahriman.

Some tidbits, revelant/known or not, I don't know:

The band was extremely unhappy with both the sound and especially the drumming on the unreleased demo from '88. That's a different drummer with a very different, and much less unique and heavy, style than the original guy. As far as I remember from this conversation, that drummer was more like a last resort because they could barely find anyone, also not surprising.

They were supposed to get back together around 2000/2001, around there, and some riffs and rough track ideas were ready and everything. Obviously that never transpired. It sounded like...Necrovore.

The rehearsal spot where the original rehearsal demo was done was like a metallic container type place, lending to the abrasive sound of it.

This is all stuff from conversations from almost 20 years ago, so if I recall more and it's appropriate, I'll post it. If some of what I said there isn't 666% verbatim correct, sue me, it was a long time ago and I have ruined my memory with weed.

Such a killer band. Truly insane and just a bummer, that they didn't do more. Or the lack of a proper reissue. The Hexenslaught demo and Obscure Burial are carrying the torch though.
