See, that's the thing around here. Most of you could care less as long as you get what you want. The pope could release an out of print metal record, but as long as it's something you're after, you'd still fucking buy it wouldn't you? Too bad you weren't listening to metal when this was available. You wouldn't have to lower yourself to buying from someone who had no interest in releasing music of this kind until just recently.

Right, like you say, this could have been done at any time. Why didn't this dude release this years ago? Because he probably hadn't even heard of Purtenance and was too busy putting out Novembers Doom shit.

There again someone brings up the fact that this is limited. Why is that so important to you? Would this carry the same appeal if it was limited to 5000 copies? No. You're an internet nowadays metalhead who is only concerned with collecting music instead of keeping idiots away who are looking to cash in on it.

Finally, needless to say, I could give a shit less on how I come across to a board full collector nerds.

Seeing as I was a toddler when this album was released, I apologize for not being able to get it back then at a fair price. It's for this reason I've missed out on an incredible amount of releases that are amazing. I probably have a decade or so of catching up to do seeing as I've only listened to metal for about 5-6 years now. I like this re-issue because it prevents me from having to spend ridiculous money to get a copy. Regardless if it was released in 300 or 3000 copies, I want one for the sake of owning a copy and listen to it without settling for outrageous prices on ebay or shitty cd-r/mp3 version when I have a superior stereo that I can play music on and get much more benefit in the listening experience from.

Even if it was CD or vinyl, I'd prefer vinyl and spend the extra cash to get that version, it's a choice I make with format preference. I don't care who reissued the album as I've said already. Regardless of his past or intentions, he's making a good package for this release so I'm very content with buying a copy of the album with all the effort put in to making it an excellent package for those who want this album.

You don't give a shit, but you keep responding to this thread. Obviously you do care what people think on here.

Probably, but I do not feel the urge to discuss it during hours ...

I don't feel like I have to defend myself for having purchased 4 versions of the same boxset and I don't understand why people should argue about the good reasons of not being a collector nerd.

Yes I am a collector nerd from time to time. So what? Who the fuck is thrashbeast or whoever to tell me I'm wrong as long as I do not buy records to sell them on eGay 2 months later when they're sold out.

and I have no problem with that. I'm not obliged to buy the stuff you put on eGay and if I do so, this is nothing else than an application of the demand and offer law.

I think I must have accidentally run over thrashbeast's cat in a past life of something. I could sit here and try to go back and forth justifying myself, but there's no need. I think I'd rather take a nap
