The first two albums were pretty interesting, after all, the first one was released by Nuclear Winter Recs, but I always felt they were lacking in some ways. With the new one it seems to me they have finally nailed their vision right.

Savage, almost over-the-top death metal which I am certain will appeal to tastes of many a poster here. As rabid and fukked in the head as you would expect from an Aussie band.

CD out now on Lavadome Prod.

Seems like a good enough place to share this. Artwork by Rok.

These guys are much better than Portal since many years and are totally overlooked, just because they don't wear a clockwork as a hat.

Sometimes Metal is despairing.

Btw, this album seems awesome, no surprise.

The single one most under-appreciated band on this forum.

I'll check it, I'm curious to hear how they have evolved.
A pitty they didn't use that Rok artwork instead of that super digital videogame like stuff. The cover looks more fitting for the type of Brutal Death bands I'm sure they don't want to be associated with.

In regards to the comparison with Portal, you may prefer these guys, to each his own, but they haven't had the impact Portal has had on the Death Metal genre in the last decade.

Say what? Laughing

Ugghh, that album cover... don't any of these computer image crafters know anything about creating depth using shadows... or balancing a image out with the use of some negative space. That whole thing whilst appearing painfully detailed with great skill just comes across as flat and digital. Fucking awful.

Jyotiṣavedāṅga is a rare example of this done right.

Agreed. Although it's a very different concept, and with a lot less elements.

Absolutely savage band.
I don´t mind the cover artwork at all, there are tons of worse digital covers around e.g. the latest Morbid Angel.
Lavadome will release shirts with the Rok painting.

Hmm... it has some serious flaws that make it look beyond fake. Lack of shadows for one thus making lighting pointless... that one rock on the left side by the boat looks just copy/pasted dropped on, its floating wrong above the image and is not part of it etc etc

I could go on about it... sure the concept and the idea is wicked, execution of it could have used some more input from another eye or something to fix some of the technical issues it has.
