That was easy.. Souls at Zero, also the first record i heard by them..
Closely followed by Enemy of the sun..

Saw them on the Souls tour - the best concert i have ever been to..

Newer Neurosis (last 15+ years) are so bland.. What happened to this band..?

I got a promo of TSIB for my shitty high school zine and it blew my fucking mind. So that gets my vote, although I couldn't tell you the last time I listened to any Neurosis.

Pain of Mind. Maybe the fist US crust record. Also, I have the OG album cover tattooed on my thigh.

Neck and neck between Through Silver In Blood and Times of Grace, saw them touring for each album and they were pretty hard to top live around then. Budd Dwyer loop & Locust Star! I guess if I had to choose it'd be TSIB because it was my introduction to the band. I kind of stopped paying attention after A Sun That Never Sets (which is great), did I miss anything?

The TSIB tour was definitely tops, mainly because there were more Enemy of the Sun tracks in the setlist. That one is #3 on my list and only by a very small margin.

TSIB because it was my intro to the band and remains my favorite. Also, Locust Star makes me want to smash everything.

My absolute all-time favorite band. A sun that never sets gets my vote and it's also what got me to get into the band. Seeing their set on the contamination tour dvd that relapse put out blew me away, and I checked out astns immediately after.

Through Silver in Blood gets my vote as an overall album, but Souls at Zero is a close second and Takeahnase is one of the best songs in their catalog.

Times of Grace, Through Silver In Blood, and A Sun That Never Sets are just about tied for me, but I'm going with ASTNS as it holds the greatest nostalgic value. Really, I celebrate their entire catalog, even the post-2004 stuff (I think Given to the Rising is pretty underrated).

Never got into anything except Souls at Zero, I appreciate the heavy Amebix worship going on there.
I liked Counterblast - Balance of Pain more than Neurosis, but it's the strong urban atmosphere and expression that keeps me from fully embracing both albums I guess.

This performance and ASTNS is what really got me into this band.
Also, I consider Given To The Rising to be equally good as their early works.
