No european death metal vinyls - be it on Earache, Roadrunner or Peaceville - had US pressings since 1989 . There's no US Altars Of Madness - though there logically should be one, no Carcasses, Entombeds, Immolations, Darkthrones, My Dying Brides - nothing. Only Brazillian "licensed" pirates. Only americal DM vinyls on these labels came out in 2000's with the reissue tide.

So it's very dubious that this Soulside Journey be a US pressing. Please take a picture of entire backside...

Yeap, I agree 100% with you, that's why I call it a mystery, I also have a friend that purchased this same LP since 1994-95 but have never seen any US pressing of Peaceville's releases until that time. Furthermore, if it was a Brazilian one, it should have another label mentioned under licence from Peaceville. I 'll post the pictures you asked within 2-3 hours.

No! I've seen that "weird" cover countless of times, never the one which I have..

I got that one as well, it is as mentioned the first press. They changed the cover for every re-press, as they didn't like the layout for some reason. I got an interview somewhere where it's all explained..

My Darkthrone LP has the normal (upper) cover while the CD-version has the weird (lower) cover.

I've got this looking cover on my Darkthrone "Ravishing Grimness" CD, which is weird, because I haven't seen this kind anywhere else..

Heres the picture:

Normal cover looks like this:

Thanks for any info maniacs!

On the last one you can see on that pic that the matrix numbers are exactly the same like the first Peaceville pressings (normal & pic LP version).

very weird indeed, it looks that it's an american pressing - strange, cause no peaceville lps were ever pressed in the us back in the day. is the innersleeve on rough paper? if so - it would be confirmation of the US origin as the US lps from early 90's always had rough innersleeves as opposed to european ones. good score that one. well - sell it to me hehe

No, the inner sleeve is thinner (just an average weight glossy papper, you don't call it rough at any way) compared to the other peaceville versions and in general Peaceville's early releases that had printed inner sleeves.
And yes, you guessed right...I am not selling it Cool
