When I became obsessed with metal back in the early 80's
I bought every CD and vinyl by just about every band that put out a record.
My CD collection until last year numbered around 3,000 cd's + 500 or so vinyl.
I started to think about how much dough I had wasted on bands that suck after 1 or 2 records, So I sold most of my collection except for the essentials, To buy more records of course. There are many exceptions. Immolation and Incantation can do no wrong. On the other hand I sold Vader's entire discography and kept the Demos and Ultimate....
Anyone else here feel the same way about bands fizzling out after 1 or two records.

I normally keep only the records I really like, Im not a die hard collector and try to get every cvlt or not cvlt items that comes out, so, if I like it I keep it, if not I send it to the sale/trade box even if its a really worth band or rare release (example katharsis, I only have 666 and traded/sold all my stuff from them) so in Kame House there is only things that I really enjoy together with a six of beers. I know there are few people that get all those things in order to make bigger their collections or later try to egay them as shown in the egay insanity thread that is ok for me I really do not care, so I asked myself the question “Why to keep records that I don’t like? Instead try to sell/trade them for things I really want…
