what a banger of an album!

It is pretty good isn't it.
Makes one wonder if they monitor the forum feedback, cause what happened to any pace change and song style experimentation? Not complaining but this is reverse progress in a way. Cheaper cruder artwork, half the play length... far less reaching for some artsy glamor epic level, and more of a straight forward 'banger' like you said.

I hope Northland - Czernoboh gets released on vinyl. The CD isn't even available for a normal price, so might as well get the LP right away.

As for expectations: I expect mom to bring me the 25th anniversary LP of Marduk - Dark endless (€19 including shipping at dodax.de) the week after next.

And the Rotting Christ CD box + book on Peaceville maybe. Depends on what it is exactly.

I hope Darkthrone find their feet again. I think the general ambiance of Arctic Thunder was fine, they were just missing some hooks.

Sleep should release a new album this year too.

anyone knows anything about the strid album?they talked about it like 3 or 4 years ago but never heard anything since then, since it contains even very old riffs/passages written by the long time dead bassist/singer I was pretty excited by the notice.

Poland's Voidhanger is a blackened death/thrash influenced three-piece of Zyklon (Infernal War), Warcrimer (Infernal War, Iperyt) and Priest (Massemord, Odraza). The band emerged in 2010 with a clear intention of "spreading darkness and negativity through metal music". Nihilistic and militant in its outcome, "Dark Days Of The Soul" follows suit two previous releases, the debut "Wrathprayers" (2011) and its follow-up "Working Class Misanthropy" (2013), rotating between punk infused cuts, aggressive hardcore, dbeat and "in-your-face" metal - all soaked in anger, bitterness and denial.

Conveying their hard-bitten attitude into words, Voidhanger commented: "Expect nothing but razor sharp riffs, hateful vocals and merciless drumming, that will turn your safe space into dust".

"Dark Days Of The Soul" was recorded, mixed and mastered in No Solace studio with M. of Mgła. The cover artwork designed by Mentalporn (Behemoth, Origin, Blaze Of Perdition).
