Somehow discovered this curious website:

http://www.cthulhustatues.com

Seems interesting, but on the other hand it's just easy money for whoever's doing these statues...

Great catalogue. Selling the same rather shabby looking statue in nearly 100 versions with the only differences being the random color schemes splattered on them and the view on the photo. If the page isnt lying they sell rather well so this was a good idea I guess. When and why did this guy become internet trend actually

Hm...well yes, it's obviously some good source of money.

I don't think people that have bought this regret it, I actually like the thought of such a Cthulhu-statue being right here at home.

Definitely a better purchase than Tom Warriors fuckface on ones wall...

It's ok if you like that statue to get one but I dont see the point of the catalogue when there is nothing different except the acrylic paint. I dont get it. And one is completely white so they saved extra money on the paint haha

By Yog-Sothoth, curse him!! HPL shouldn't be ripped off like this! Praise the Ancient Ones. May They lay their eternal wrath upon him.

These statues looks same, only colors are different. Someone should release Lovecraft on black wax.

I spent a fair amount on statues over the last several years. Great stuff to decorate the dungeon with. ...well the basement now since the rug rat made an appearance to this world.

Those little statues are kinda boring to me. I bought this Cthulhu statue, it is a little amateur compared to other shit that Sideshow has endorsed mind you, but is still pretty wicked.

Other statues I aquired :

+ countless other villains from the Lord of the Rings series.
Sauron is especially impressive, the Witch King in his black robe version is not too shabby as well.

I like that lil "Who's your pimp?" smirk he has.

Mcfarlane did some great statues as well.

The problem with MsFarlane stuff is that it is all cheap toy plastic. Toys more or less really, otherwise the visual content of some of it is really damned fine.

I try to collect only these sandstone/polystone statues. The cheapest one was that Cthulhu as they used plastic for some of the tentacles to provide better life expectancy for all those little limbs, but you can tell the quality in appearance though is shit. It looks a little cheaper in person than the other ones.

Frank Frazzetta's Death Dealer, I bought that when I was poor, no way I was passing that fucker up. Didn't eat much for that month years ago. Laughing

Cool one though that looks like Warhammer or from a Heavy Metal comic

The difference is that the one posted above tries to look more like an idol though

eh, I like these statues. sure the only difference is color scheme but it gives you options at least. I do think they are a bit overpriced though. may buy one eventually regardless.
