Mortuary Drape "secret sudaria" LP It should've been done as double LP but the guy opted to press it on one. The album is like 50 minutes long. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

the two that most recently come to mind:
Nunslaughter--Hex, Die Hard Silver is unplayable. Apparently a factory fuck up, that they failed to mention before pre-orders
Iron Maiden--Reincarnation of benjamin Breeg 10" single, sound is warped throughout, amazing considering a band of Maiden's stature |

| i dont think that poor sound quality on t.c.i.a. plagues the whole run of lps actually. i remember there being a thread about this on another (now defunct) message board and many people were reporting having no problems with record. i dont remember my copy sounding too bad either. i think the problem people were having was some sort of static sound or something like that right? |

Obituary - Xecutioner's Return fucked up totally on side B) due to whatever reason.
Morbid - Death Execution LP on Holycaust. Was tremendously lowered in sound due to the length.
Bathory - Destroyer Of Worlds LP, lasting 64min. Crappy sound.
also the Eternal Darkness LP and the new Necrophobic LP have long running times and therefore the volume is heavily lowered. |

This sort of stuff hardly ever happens in the punk scene. People need to listen to their damn test presses! _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

| A recent example is "Death is this Communion" by High on Fire. A 56-minute album pressed onto 1 LP. It sounds like shit, and it's extra ridiculous considering that Relapse could afford a double LP, it was already a gatefold sleeve and pressing it in as many different colors as they did costs just as much as pressing another LP. Obviously, Relapse presses vinyl that are meant to be collector's items, and not for listening. |

The LP is badly mastered too, all those annoying pauses between the songs almost ruin the potentially crushing experience. What is the maximum time capacity on 12"s by the way?
p.s.I remember the Witchmaster side of the Adorior split was totally fucked up, almost unlistenable... _________________ INTO THE DRAPE..

| You can probably fit over 30 minutes of music onto each side, but it's going to sound like shit. The master volume really decreases when you put more music onto it, and bass takes up more space between the groves so bass-heavy music sounds really crappy when there's too much on each side. I think as a general rule, each side should be kept under 18-20 minutes, but this will of course vary depending on the music. |
