I'm supposed to be there the first week of April, so I'm curious if there are any decent record shops around. Even shops with new stuff like DEATH IN JUNE CDs can be fine, as I know one can find them in record shops in Italy.

So thanks in advance for any information ! Smile

My free time will be limited, and I'll be located in the center of the town. I'd gladly meet local metalheads too, but I don't know in advance when I'll have some time free.

Are you going to Cinema Wasteland?!?!?! FUKK I want to go to that!

Not sure about Parma, but there is Ultrasound in Willoughby, about 30 minutes north of Parma.

Decent selection, some vinyl and great priced used shit.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Whoops. The first weekend in April is the Cinema Wasteland Convention in Parma, Ohio - so that is immediately what I thought of.

Oh man, pure FAIL on my part.

no record shops in parma as far as I know. anyway if you are able to move I can suggest 2 stores:

asbury park - via mazzini 24/d 42019 scandiano (re). phone 0522 982868 (55 km from parma)
big metal section and many vinyls too. a little expensive.

we rock music store - via bacchini, 11 modena. phone 059 230387 (60 km from parma)
big store born merging 2 previous stores, one of those specialized in metal only. they got a huge metal selection with lotsa vinyls and if I remember well very cool prices

Follow the Lasagna and Cheeseburger smell and you could end up at Jim Konya's house. It's not exactly a store, but he provides free high-fives.

ONLY PARMA IS REAL.
